Aki is the manga's main protagonist and the story revolves around her. She has always been in love with Mase ever since they met in the Middle School Basketball Team. However, ever since she has met Koichi she had problems deciding between Mase - whom she really loves, or Koichi - whom she is indebted to. Aki is the reason why Koichi can not play basketball anymore. Although she was overjoyed about it, Aki rejected Mase's confession - because of her "debt" with Koichi.
